What’s your website?

https://www.hushabyebaby.com.au/

What is the purpose of your business?

I give families the tools and support to get their little ones sleeping well.

What services do you offer?

I provide sleep training packages that include a sleep evaluation, a customised sleep plan, and personalised support until we reach our sleep goals.

What difference do you make in your clients’ lives?

I have families come to me that are struggling in many areas of their lives due to sleep deprivation. Not only is their child not getting the sleep their little body needs to be happy and healthy, but the rest of the family are also suffering. By the end of our time together, everyone is sleeping well. Lives are changed.

What kind of clients do you most love to work with?

Babies, and parents that are dedicated to getting good sleep.

Why do you do what you do? Why did you choose this business over something else?

As a Mum of 3 young children, I know first hand how lack of sleep can affect all aspects of life, and how easy it is to fall into bad sleep habits just to get any sleep.

Being a parent of young children does not mean that you need to be sleep deprived. When I get a family to a good place with sleep, that makes me incredibly happy. It spurs me to keep helping families. Everyone can get the sleep they need if they know how. I choose this work so I can share the knowledge that can change lives. In addition, this business gives me the flexibility to spend a great deal of my time with my small children.

Why do you get out of bed every morning?

Mainly for my children!

What is your favourite thing to do?

Sleep! I’m not even kidding!

What do you do when you’re not working?

Spend time with my family and friends.

If there was one thing you could change about the world, what would it be?

Lose the anger that can be generated by uneducated views, and often result in tragedy. I wish there was less judgement and more kindness and acceptability in the World.

What is your business?

The Parentmedic Movement. I am the educator for Ballarat and Surrounds

What’s your website?

https://parentmedic.co/

What is the purpose of your business?

To provide up to date, accurate and affordable infant and child first aid and CPR skills and knowledge to all parents and carers of children.

What services do you offer?

I provide a 2 hour session to parents including the subjects of CPR and airways, choking, poisons, burns, febrile convulsions and seizures, temperature management, rashes, head injuries and MORE!

I teach in 3 different settings. I teach a public session on a date and location of my choosing, a private session for a host and their friends and family, and a private couple session in someone’s home.

All of these sessions are baby and breastfeeding friendly so that these sessions are as accessible as possible.

What difference do you make in your clients’ lives?

I hope that through my sessions I can empower parents and families to have more confidence when caring for their children. I hope that they feel surer of their abilities and more supported in their decisions as parents. Hopefully, they never have to use the skills, but if they do, they have the confidence to use them and maybe even save a life.

What kind of clients do you most love to work with?

I love working with expecting mothers and new parents the most… who doesn’t love those new baby smiles and cuddles?! 🙂

Why do you do what you do? Why did you choose this business over something else?

I love what I’ve chosen as a career path and what I do because hopefully, it changes the outcome of someone’s life. Hopefully, it saves someone’s life and makes the difference between the worst day of someone’s life, to one of a tale of survival.

I choose this because I can relate with my parenting journey and I am invested in providing this knowledge, because I know how much of a difference it made to me and my kids when I learnt it in a session, years ago.

Why do you get out of bed every morning?

Because the world is so beautiful and has so much to offer…. why wouldn’t you?

What is your favourite thing to do?

Spend time with my girls, my husband and friends

What do you do when you’re not working?

I am a mum of two amazing little girls. They are at an extremely busy and creative stage in their lives (ages 3 and 1) and I absolutely love seeing that blossom. I am so incredibly blessed to have an absolutely wonderful husband to share the journey of life with me. He is an incredible dad and a great husband!

When I’m not working, I like to spend my days with them. I spend a very busy week with the girls moving between play dates, family catch ups, dancing, playgroup and mummy daughter dates and then adventurous family time on the weekends!

If there was one thing you could change about the world, what would it be?

That all people have equal opportunity. Whether that be through love, money, health, safety, respect or opportunity. Equality is a right, not something that you should be judged for or denied of.
